Two Mormons Arguing Beats Two Pigs in a Gunnysack

Here we attempt the following: 1. Provide a place for one semi-left-leaning-but-mostly-moderate Mormon Democrat to lay out/discover some of his beliefs. 2. Allow one relatively-conservative Mormon Republican to refute the beliefs of the poor misguided Mormon Democrat while expounding upon the utterly and clearly correct beliefs he holds dear. 3. Allow whoever happens to hear about and chance upon these statements to toss in their own two cents.

Statement about relevance and discretion:

This is not a public sanctuary for unfettered free speech. If either Duane or dbl dee think your comments should be deleted they probably will be. Reasons for deletion may include, but certainly are not limited to:
1. Overtly negative comments toward The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (While either Duane or dbl dee may show disrespect to each other or those who add comments, if you post here simply to denegrate our beliefs we will likely delete your comments.)
2. If we don't like your name you may just lose your posting privileges.
3. If either of us has itchy nether-regions due to chafing or for any other reason we may just feel particularly grouchy at any given moment and randomly delete stuff.
4. Profanity, vulgarity, idiocy, imbecility, or simple dimwittedness.
5. Fickle other anythingness.
